As a statistical programmer you will be in charge of the statistical analysis of studies. This involves writing, testing and validating SAS or R programs which are used for the analysis of clinical trials. You will also be responsible for the conversion of databases into standard clinical formats like CDISC SDTM and CDISC ADaM.

You will:

  • Write programs for the statistical analysis of clinical trials, based on the statistical analysis plan
  • Convert databases to CDISC SDTM and CDISC ADaM
  • Consolidate the output of the statistical analysis in tables, figures and listings (TFL)
  • Create macros to automate tasks across projects

You will be part of a multidisciplinary and international team consisting of experts in statistical analysis of clinical trials under the supervision of Professor Leonard Kaufman

Your profile

Education & knowledge

  • Master Degree in a numerate field like Mathematics, Physics, (Bio/Commercial) Engineer or similar. A degree in statistics is considered to be a plus
  • Good verbal and written skills in English as well as Dutch or French
  • Good IT literacy: working with MS office, Adobe, … has no secrets for you
  • Knowledge of Github or similar tools is considered to be a plus
  • You have proven to be capable of analytical thinking, either through education or experience
  • Keen interest to continuously learn and stay on top of latest developments in programming and statistics


  • Previous experience with programming. Experience with SAS or R programming is considered to be a plus
  • Experience in clinical research is considered to be a plus
  • The positions are open to graduates and candidates with up to 10 years of experience
